Smart Security: CCTV and Access Control with Cloud Storage
@fnet installs smart security systems for offices, estates and industrial sites in Gauteng, from our base in Midrand. @fnet Projects installs the cameras, access control and cabling, and @fnet Systems sets up the network, cloud video storage and secure mobile access, so you can see and manage your site from anywhere.
Security hardware and IT, together
Modern CCTV and access control are network systems. Cameras send video over the network, recordings may be stored in the cloud and staff expect to check footage on a phone. When the security installer and the IT provider are different companies, the network side is often where problems start: dropped cameras, slow remote viewing and devices left on default passwords.
Because @fnet does both, the cameras, network and cloud are designed together. Security devices sit on their own network, remote access is secured and footage is kept for as long as you need it.

Questions
Is cloud video storage secure?
We use providers that encrypt footage, and set up access so only authorised users can view it, with multi-factor sign-in.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Cameras keep recording on site, and depending on the system, footage is uploaded to the cloud when the connection returns.
Can we manage access remotely?
Yes. Depending on the system chosen, authorised staff can add or remove users, open doors and review entry logs from a phone or computer.
